I'm building a pc and I will be running a nividea gtx 970 atx 2.0. I'm in the market for some over clocking as well. Will a 750 watt power supply be enough? It should be more than fine but a few sites have said I need something along the lines of a 800 watt. Any help is appreciated!

The GTX 970 isn't really a power hungry card, I've got the g1 gaming and I can OC both it and my CPU on a 600W PSU and still have shitloads of headroom left.

You'd most likely even be fine with a higher quality 500w power supply.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

600 would be enough in most cases even when overclocked.

I have an Asus Strix GTX 970, 750Watt is awesome, though I do recommend a good 80+ Gold as I've seen complaints about the 80+ Bronze's with the card.

Also dual GTX 970's can run on a 750Watt Power supply.  I had dual 970's but I gave one to a friend of mine.  No issue with my Max O/C running some demanding games.

Depends on the CPU you are using. OC'd X99 or FX-9590 you're going to be pushing it a bit, but still doable if you get good clean power delivery.

Game Box | 4690K | Z97i-Plus | G.Skill 2400MHz | x2 840 Evo | GTX 970 shorty | Corsair 250D modded with H105 | EVGA 650w B2 |
