I am helping a friend out with a new computer build and he is not interested in gaming hence integrated graphics. He is going to probably be using a 1080p screen, maybe a 1440p down the line.

my main concern is being able to watch high bitrate video, say that experimental 4k 60 fps off youtube, and drive a single monitor. What class of intel's integrated graphics can do this? Is video decoding a graphics concern in the first place?

Thanks folks!

Probably not, My 270 has trouble watching 4k video. (edit-> let alone 4k60, which in itself does not have a lot of content)

My iris 5100 is good for 60fps 1440p playback, and the iris 6100 and iris pro 6200 are about 20% faster than the 5000 series so I think they should be fine, but idk

My HD 4000 just quits when they try 1440p. The Iris graphics or HD 5000 might work but just get some cheap graphics card watch 1080p.

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel

After a couple weeks of behavioral sciences at my school I can easily conclude my parents need to grow up.
