I recently build a new computer with a MSI z97s krait and a Gigabyte gtx 970 g1 and I am having rather unusual video output problems. The on board graphics and a spare graphics card work so that eliminates many of the possibilities the problem could be. Whenever I boot with the G1 card AFTER having booted with one of the other methods it works, BUT if I reboot with the G1 card in it won't even get to the post screen. I really confused on this problem please help.

Make the PC boot up u following your workaround and after getting to desktop install the las test drivers for the GPU. After that download the latest or if u have the latest then the same BIOS of ur motherboard and flash it from Windows. Then see whether it works.
