Hi,

 

My parents don't really like it when I take over the living room tv to use as a monitor because our wifi is really unreliable/useless and I can use ethernet there.

For some odd reason, they also don't support my idea to rip apart the walls to run a wired connection through the whole house.

 

Has anyone had any experience with using ethernet over their power line? Any recommendations for adaptors or reasons not to try it?

I run one through old shoddy wiring, and they're great.

 

The one I have is 200mbs, and even though it jumps circuits, it's running at about 100mbs.

 

You can find them for pretty cheap, they're definitely worth a shot.
