Hi there people!

Since the last month i've been having problems with booting my PC.

It boots and it turns on all the lights on my keyboard and doesn't give any screen, it sometimes even reboots and the exact same happens.

If i hold down the power button and restart it a few times it does start and the pc completely works.

I've been googling the issue, i've already tried and reinstal the OS which doesn't change anything, i have looked through the case and made sure all the cables are connected correctly.

All my temps and everything is normal it just sometimes doesn't boot.

Here are my PC Specs if it is from any relevance.

  • Windows 8.1 Pro
  • MSI z97
  • Intel i7-4790k @ 4.00Ghz
  • 4x 4Gb Kingston
  • MSI 970 GTX
  • 5 years old random SSD
  • 750W PSU

Hope anyone can be of help.

Have you overclocked the ram? I once pushed my ram too much and it occasionally wouldn't boot.

If you have try running it at stock for a week or 2 and see if it boots every time. If it boots fine after that change the ram overclock settings to something less intense.

@UnholyGrail : Nothing has been overclocked

@TheGreatPlane : I've tried reinstalling different OS's, it's definitely hardware related somehow

@PaulKolby : I tried removing ram and restarting PC, it doesn't change anything, still reboots a few times and it doesn't boot but if i continue trying it eventually starts up and everything works fine once its on. No weird temps nothing
