I'm running 2 970s. The game crashes every 2 minutes, my screen goes black and my computer restarts itself. I have the latest drivers and updates. I tried running my cards in factory clock speeds, boarderless windowed mode, fullscreen mode, reinstalling the game, reinstalling the driver, etc. The only thing that has worked is reverting back to the old GTA5 drivers, which reduces my fps by about 10 or disabling SLI which also makes the fps drop dramatically. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

I am running on a single 960 at "Ultra" (without Hairworks) and I get 60fps in some places and in the open world I get 40-50 fps :)

Try verifying files through steam or gog. you may be missing a file that makes it crash :(

Hope this helps :)

here's another topic from the Troubleshooting boards: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/369348-witcher-3-driver-crash/

but i think the other post deals explicitly with driver crashes occuring while playing witcher 3. not sure if your issue fits in there.

Sorry, nvlddmkm is crashing, but it doesn't happen at the time of when my computer crashes. I missed it while scrolling through the list.

That error is usually the graphics card not getting enough power during heavy load situations. Mine doesn't crash, it just takes out the game, and for some reason the onboard audio drivers as well. I tried disabling the power saving features on the PCIe lanes, and haven't had another crash yet (it's in your advanced power options, you set link state power management to Off)

I'm hoping this is the solution for me, because the next step involves flashing my firmware. I'm not sure if it'd help in your case.

I tried disabling power saving features already. Doesn't work sadly. Also have power management on max performance in the NVidia control panel.

Have you limited the frame rate? When I did it, the game froze up every now and again so I had to close it up with task manager.

That works!?!?!? I've had mine at the 60 cap but hell that's an easy fix if it works for me. Hopefully patches will fix everything anyways.
