Ram issue

Go to solution Solved by Sakkura,

Unmatched memory sometimes won't work. I think you're just in that unfortunate situation.

Bear in mind Corsair buys their memory on the open market, so the actual memory inside the modules may be completely different from one kit to another (even more so when the kits have different version numbers).

Hello so I'm having a bit of an issue, I have been running a dual channel kit (8gb) for about a year now, today I got a friends ram thats the same model. Only difference is mine is ver 4.23, the new kit I got is 7.12.

Both kits do work, all the ram is fine. However if I try to run all 4 dims pc just gets stuck in a boot loop. I have done some research, most people are saying try and put the ram to 1.6volts, I tried that. same result.

I have also tried putting on XMP profile and making sure the timings are the same. Didnt work.
