Hey everyone I have a quick question about my network and internet speeds.

So right now my download speeds are around 105mb/s but this is because I am using a 100mb/s port in my router and the cable I am using is only cat5.

I am thinking, since I have a fiber optic NTD (network termination device) in my house, I can use the port on that and run a cat6 cable directly into my computer. I have done this before but only with a cat5 cable.

Do you think I would get higher speeds if I ran a cat6 cable directly from the NTD in my house to my computer?

Thanks in advance

My ISP (Telstra) doesn't advertise the speed since I am in a small area that got FTTP because the copper exchange had to be demolished. I can't use a gigabit port from my router since it only has 1 gigabit port, which is why I thought of running the cat6 cable directly to my computer.
