Yet another introduction post

Hello everyone, been watching the vids/live feed for a while and lurking around since the boards opened so I figured I might as well finally make an account. Just your average everyday tech guy, IT consultant by trade and a pc enthusiast as well. I will soon be going back to school full time, have to use my GI Bill before my time runs out. I'm from the immense state of Texas in the US, so needless to say I am adrift in a sea of non-tech savvy people. It's a relief to find a place to talk geek with others.

I'm currently running a midrange little homebuilt from last year, based around the Asrock Extreme3 Gen3, i5 2500K, and a reference Powercolor 7970. Soon I will be building a new system for my wife/kids to share, meaning of course that I will be moving over the core components from my system to the new one and buying new parts for my system. Tech refresh FTW! I plan on doing a build log for both systems, though whether anyone is interested is another matter.

I am happy to help anyone with any questions I can, tech or otherwise; though I am sure I'm in no way the most knowledgable person here.

TLDR:

Texas geek saying hi with build log soon to be started.
