You can lower thermals, I did it to my R9 270 and it lowered by about 10 degrees. I run at about 70c now, at full load with overclock to 270x level.

Hi all, i have a GPU (Asus R9270X-DC2T-2GD5), it is 6 months old.

Is it wise to replace the stock "paste" or whatever it is with a good thermal paste, Arcit Silver 5?

Or should i leave it alon for some more time?

You should replace it. It can decrease temps by 10 degrees, no joke.

I am pretty sure the differ was less than 10

yes he did, and it can depend on the gpu, a lot of people in the comments say it decreased by 5-10.

I did mine and it didnt change a bit...

lol, don't know why. Mine went down only 4 degrees.

Well i guess i will put new thermal paste (Artic Silver 5), in a few days when my new PSU arrives and do all the work together :)
