Problem wih my friend computer

Problem solved cooler was full of dust, but not working. motherboard is broken and my friend ordered new one

Hello my friend pc is not working,

specs:

AMD FX 8350

Corsair hydro series h55

Asus m5a99x

Kingston fury black 2x4gb

xfx 750w (dont know model)

ati radeon hd 6790

 

idle temp is around 60-70c

and when its cooled off temp is temporarily at 45-50c

 

i tried to change thermal paste with no effect.

When he plays cs go after couple of minutes pc shuts down and same is with borderands 2.

Bios is updated to newest version

Sounds like it's overheating. Maybe RMA the CPU cooler?

i knew AMD ran a bit hotter than intel, but that seems on the high side...

 

what are his 100% load temps like? i feel like this is a thermal issue.

thats not actually that bad 85 is teh worry point

85 is the worry point for performance, but if his idle temp is all the way up there, i worry for what happens when that cpu is getting loaded.

Is the water cooler plugged in?

Both fans, and the pump?

my mobo automaticly overvolted my fx cpu so chek the voltage and fx cpus is also extreamly hot cpus so i dont think the temps you are giveing is that bad for a 120mm watercooler
