Having serious headset issues.

Go to solution Solved by doits,

Thanks for the reply I ended up seeing this other one after looking around more.

Do you think this USB splitter would work as well? I think it would be more convenient because there's only 1 wire and also I could keep the PC speakers plugged in for when I wanted to use them.

No, that is for charging, it has a pin inside it. Are you using a desktop that has front mic/headset headers? If so get the headset splitter cable and plug your headset into the front, then plug speakers into the back of computer. You may have to mess with audio control to make them separate audio devices. If you do not have front inputs get the audio splitter cable for your headset, and then this  http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-CM-UAUD-Adapter-C-Media-Chipset/dp/B001MSS6CS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431921398&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+audio+splitter to plug in your speakers to usb.

I've tried 3 headset/mic setups so far and they're all bad.

First I tried the free PS4 mic with the 1 little earbud but it wasn't picking up my voice.

Then I tried the Logitech USB mic/headset that came with PS2. This actually works well however it hurts my ear after a while.

Finally, I decided to get the JBL J88i on sale for $20. It sounds great and I like it however, I can't configure it how I want. The game sounds come into the headset but the mic sounds (teammates talking) come through my monitors.

Pretty annoying considering these are over the ear/closed back headphones.

I want both game audio and mic audio to come through the headset. Is this possible?

How can I get both in game and mic audio into the headset?

A lot of headsets have it built in I know all turtlebeaches have them, but there turtlebeaches..... but I mean if your only doing consoles and want that kind of thing at that price range I suppose that would be your best option.

Is this possible with the J88i is what I am asking?

Can I make this both Playback Device and Recording Device at the same time?

I can only seem to make it do one or the other. I am assuming the headphones are not made to do this. Unsure why there would be a built in mic if that was the case.

Will a splitter like this work?
