Hello again enigmatic members of the forums! Hope you're having a great day!

So I "again" have revised my plans for my first build, which is (subject to more revision as it will probably be October by the time I have enough cash.)

Just want some suggestions/thoughts, but I think it's a generically solid build! I will be using this for 3D rendering, Video editing, Coding and gaming.

I want it to be quiet (hence the corsair fans) but not silent (I do not really care as long as it is quiet.)

So without further ado her is the link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hCcDyc

Edit note: The RAM is the 4 stick black kit of the same memory!

I look forward to your comments and thank you for taking the time to look at this!

As always have a great day! - Encoded.

Descent build, but like @Agazed said, a GTX 970 in a $2K build? you can even get a GTX Titan X in a $2K build.

Fit it in with the peripherals and on an x99 system?

Most likely this list or most of it will be irrelevant by October so you are better off waiting for October to make the build. Unless you are like me and addicted to making the builds and making them perfect everyday up to the point when you buy them ;)

Oh ok, i understand. I mean if you video edit/3D render more than gaming, the 5820K and 970 would be fine, but if you game more than edit, I would highly suggest getting something like a 4790K and a GTX 980.

That is exactly me, I have exams in two weeks but I'm trying to finalise this build! Yeah but Broadwell is going to flop, and Broadwell - E isn't coming until next year! Same as Nvidia Pascal. I don't know how Skylake is going to perform, but I doubt the 4 core versions will surpass the 6 core monster that is the 5820K!

I was thinking along the lines of 1 for boot and large programs "After effects photoshop etc..." and another for the bigger games eg "Metal Gear and The Witcher 3"? I'm sure a 256 could be partitioned but for some reason my brain finds more logic in this, also I am a noob and am probably being a noob thinking this xD

No I plan to do a lot of editing and Photoshop, along with compiling code for my college course, I'm taking Computer Games Development :D

Yup, you definitely need those cores. Stick with the 5820K :)

I mean who knows the new releases might be worth the money. Really wanting to see what AMD has to offer with their new GPUs. But irrelevant could also be prices as with new releases some of those things should drop in price. Good luck with your exams bro, I got mine this week and then I am hoping to get a job to buy and build a PC myself.

Oh if AMD ever get to releasing this damn 300 series you will definitely see a price drop from Nvidia somewhere to ensure that AMD don't gain market share! Good luck with yours too! You have the exact same plan as me, great minds think alike, here ill add you as a friend as I would like to see how your build comes along as I build mine!
