What are the specifications of the computer? Especially important are the CPU cooler, motherboard and GPU. Knowing the PSU would be good as well.

It depends on the use there is no such thing as the BEST for anything it totally depends on the use.

I really like the Silverstone Raven Z for a small powerfull HTPC also The Asrock M8 is nice Fractal Define node series are also nice.

It's based on preference and your setup.  If you want something that looks like some AV equipment then they have those available.  If you want something bigger (I went with a mini tower) you can select that.  There isn't just one answer for which is best.  What is best for me is probably different from what is best for you.

250D is a fairly large case, and you don't even know anything about the OP's computer.

eh just some generic choices, since he didn't say

This is the parts list i have in mind. I am flexible on it though.

Even if the cooler has proper clearance with on board components (it should), you will be hard pressed to find a HTPC case that can take it. The Fractal Design Node 304 can probably do that, but you give up the 304's hard drive bays.

I would actually recommend that you go with a H97 or Z97 MicroATX or ATX motherboard (that is to avoid the possible need for a BIOS update, though you can go H81 or B85 if you want and it will still be fine) and get the Steelseries Grandia GD09. It's a very well built case, should have no issues taking enthusiast hardware and should fit fine wherever you put your cable box/console. As for the CPU cooler, I would switch it out for a Noctua NH-L9x65, Noctua NH-L12, Enermax ETD-T60 or a Cryorig C1. The Raijintek Pallas is good as well.
