whats wrong with my GPU ?

i will try to be short. so lately (in this week) it happened a few times. not a lot of load on my pc no mining or extreme temps. no overclocking either but my pc used to get white horizontal lines for split second and screen goes black now i downgraded to non beta drivers and twice in this hour watching youtube screen gone black and i cant do anything to display again. sound was going ok. other thing. my stupid asshall mum switch off power for house to annoy me can it do harm for my pc?

 

 

so now about the specs.

cpu 4690k @ 3.9ghz stock voltage pretty much like turbo. and its not a great overclocker 1.35v and 4.4ghz not stable but at turbo seems fine

gpu is r9 290 vapor x stock 1030mhz stock voltage. and only overclocking i did was to check its maximum performance and it was 1150mhz stable no artifacts

ram 16gb hyperx 1600

MB msi g55 z97 sli 

psu is rm750 corsair

primary hdd is crucial m550 512gb ssd

cpu cooler is hyper 212 evo

Did you get the lines after downgrading the drivers? It's hard to tell without punctuation lol

no it seems like its just goes to sleep but never gets signal back

ok what a hell? it happened third time when i was writing ansver to you. i was gonna say it only happens after power loss but i had to take out graphics since it makes me worry a lot? what should i do? its nearly 1 year old it was bought on 06month 16day at 2014 in now runing intel hd graphics and im about to cry

no i didnt i took it out. but i will try it now. but since it has awesome cooling and never goes above 80c on furmark torture test is it some kind of idk i just wanna know im that type of person who wanna know how it works

I also have a 290 and the problem isn't temperature related, the fix i gave you is for the early reference 290's because they have a VRAM problem which causes them to be unstable, i suspect yours is also concerned even if it's not reference

 

Now just try it as you won't lose any performance at all and you can revert anytime

ok so nothing happened yet after all this time runing my gpu untill few seconds ago screen gone dark for a split second then my hdd spinned up and i got disconnected from wifi and it happened again same black screen for a split second im not sure whats the possible cause of this can you please help me figure out? and notice that i didnt asked for HDD to spin up like i was surfing the web. can it be a virus despite how newbieish it sounds
