After this tower of a pentium for over 2 years I think it is time for a upgrade

I am a first time builder though :/

What I will be doing:

Much Gaming

I don't play super heavy stuff maybe battlefeil, and CoD and Witcher 3 are the most demanding games I would be playing.(Also did I mention i'll be playing Half Life 3?)

Render Stuff (Once in a While for fun)

24/7 Folding@Home(can someone give me team number)

Much Overclock because I like speed....

I have dual 1440p displays

I really want a Orange and Black scheme.I guess I can airbrush the small accents of green on top of the MSI card. The sound card is because the Sennheieser HD600 and This 5.1 Audio Set up.(im obsessed with audio.)

I have no Idea what I actually need. But this seems good. Why not wait for Skylake in Q3? I will have money to upgrade.Got spare bitcoins I can use on newegg from a while ago.

Why not wait for 3xx series? Most of the cards are rebrands.Except the 390/390X

What I have so far--

Any changes I should make?

Seems a bit unbalanced towards the gpu. For "much gaming" I'd go with like a 980, a smaller sufficient psu (500W) and even maybe an i5 for overall higher fps/cost.

Personal Build Project "Rained-On"

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

Made a few changes.

I left the i7 in there, but you might be fine with an i5 4690K.

The Phanteks cooler is a beast and will match pretty well.

Crucial BX100 SSD is cheaper and is just as good.

Changed the GTX 960 to a GTX 970. The Gigabyte card is all black so it matches.

The EVGA GS is a bit cheaper than the G2 model. The GS is a top quality Seasonic built unit.

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe has loads of space to build in.

I don't think you will need all those extra fans. I would try with the stock ones first. The cooler comes with thermal paste.

Same goes for the soundcard. Motherboards have excellent onboard audio these days. Try it first before you splash out on a sound card.

Awesome build.  I would consider the Corsair H100i GTX to match all those other Corsair parts...and because it's awesome!  Also, you may want to consider at GTX 970 if wanting to start maxing settings or go above 1080p gaming.  I like the PSU, gives you a lot of room to expand (multiple GPUs), etc.  It never hurts to have extra headroom with wattage.

I totally agree. Especially with the dual 1440p monitors, a 980 would be a lot better than the 960.
