So I've been having this problem ever since I setup three monitors to my computer. I have two monitors hooked up through DVI using my AMD Radeon HD 7970, and I have my third hooked up through an HDMI to DVI converter using my integrated graphics chipset on my motherboard (Intel HD 4000).

Whenever I move my cursor around on a webpage or Steam or any program on the two monitors that are hooked up through my dedicated graphics card, it's very skippy and laggy, but when I do the same thing on my Intel HD 4000 monitor, it's perfectly fine.

I've tried everything to rectify this problem, and I've uninstalled programs and ended unneeded tasks and stuff, but I can't figure out the solution to this problem. You might be asking: what's the big deal? It doesn't seem like such a big problem, but it makes it almost impossible to click on dialog boxes and enhance pointer accuracy.

Please help if you have the time. It also doesn't show up in-game. Playing games reverts the mouse back to its normal functionality. It just seems to be a problem in programs on the desktop screen.

Specifications:

Windows 8 64-bit

Intel Core i7-3770K

PowerColor Radeon HD 7970

ASUS Sabertooth Z77

4x2GB DDR3 1333Mhz Patriot Sector 5 RAM

120GB Samsung 830 SSD

1TB SeaGate 7200RPM Drive

I can't do that, unless I purchase ANOTHER monitor that's capable of displayport, and I'm not prepared to spend that kind of money. I've already tried using a converter, but the resolution was stuck at 640x480, which rendered it useless. Connecting monitors through the same card is not an option unfortunately.

try connecting all your monitors through the same graphics solution :-)

And I also found out another thing. When I'm just using two monitors through my 7970, everything returns to normal. It has to do with the onboard graphics, but I'm not sure how to solve it.

get an active display port to dvi adapter. http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-005B-2-DisplayPort-Single-Link-Certified/dp/B0098HVXXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374097895&sr=8-1&keywords=displayport+to+dvi+active

just an example, amd website has a list of adapters that work with eyefinity.

Like I said, I used that adapter, and the resolution was stuck on 640x480. That option doesn't work either. It has something to do with the onboard graphics.

are you sure it was an active adapter? there is active and passive adapters, passive adapters won't work for 3 monitor settups. also try conecting the monitors one at a time starting with the dp adapter monitor.

Ok so it turns out that one of my monitors is actually capable of using DisplayPort so I spent $10 on a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable and it hooked up. At first it seemed like it was going to be stuck at 640x480 again, but I was able to change the resolution this time so everything worked out quite well.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will no longer need help on this topic.
