Get the B2 version of that power supply. SO MUCH BETTER! (You probably don't need so many damn fans, what the hell)

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)

What's the system being used for?

Why such a large psu? Are you planning to sli? Is the optical drive really necessary?

Why a 144hz TN panel instead of a better looking IPS?

I plan to use it for heavy gaming and moderate to heavy multimedia tasks (editing, photoshop, animation). I got the monitor on the assumption that a 60 hz would not be able to display more that 60 fps in games. Would my assumption be true? The optical drive is not necessary, but just in case. I got the psu because I plan to sli  two 970s in the future, but not now.

Yes, a 60hz monitor can only display 60 fps.

What kind of animation and editing are you doing? Programs being used?

I do some editing on a Sony Vegas but I would like to try some adobe programs as well. would it be better for me to get an IPS instead of a TN panel? What's the difference?

As of now i'm only doing Photoshop but as a student, I plan to learn animation (3d and 2d) in the future so I want a system and monitor that would save me from upgrading many things in the future.

IPS panels have better colors and viewing angles.

What's with the K95? What would you be using all the macros for?

I see now. IPS panels indeed are much better, but would a 60 hz would just be fine compared to a greater refresh rate monitor?

I don't know actually, I don't know much about keyboards or any hardware at all (obviously). I just chose the K95 because it seemed good for the price though it is a little bit expensive and because it got great reviews. Would you suggest a better keyboard?

I would try not to spend as much on the motherboard, the ASUS Z-97-A is great, overclocks well and it's also a $100 cheaper. Using that $50, use it on other components, otherwise this build looks great.

I chose the motherboard because besides it's specs, it also matches my build's color scheme.

Yes, 60hz would definitely be fine and look better. 144hz may be appropriate if you were gaming competitively and didn't mind sacrificing image quality for the sake of faster frames.

I'd recommend something like this instead: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/PhRtdC

This is quite nice actually, but is a seagate hdd reliable? I've seen a lot of reviews of them breaking a lot or lasting more or less than a year or so.

Edit:I was actually looking at a seagate barracuda 2TB (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm001) but changed it due        to the horrible reviews it got.

Plus would 500w be enough for my system should I want to SLI two of my graphics card and overclock?

There are also plenty of reviews on WD drives lasting more or less than a year or so.

As far as i'm concerned, WD and Seagate are equally reliable. Whether the drive arrives in a good working condition usually has more to do with handling during shipping.
