Help with MOBO

I recently got help with another post with a prob with my build it started (fans spinned) and the shuts of and keeps on doing the same thing the awesome guy ApolloX75 took hes time helped me and he found out that my mobo doesnt support my proccessor (i5 4690) on my mobo (ga-z87x-d3h) and i need a bios update. What is supposed to happen when you start a rig without a cpu?

It will not start and you can't get into the bios. It should beep like a banshee.

Your going to need a cpu that's compatible with your current bios unless it's a Asus board with bios flashback capabilities.

Can you get into Q Flash?

 

EDIT: ok, then you could get a Celeron for £20 off Ebay used, make sure it's s1150 and not haswell refresh

It should also beep when you put the wrong cpu in.

Your going to need a cpu that's compatible with your current bios unless it's a Asus board with bios flashback capabilities.

Do what sam says, either get a compatible cpu or borrow one so that you can update your bios.

If you haven't already found the bios update it is "here"

And as @TomLambert_ says see if your motherboard supports qflash and if so use that to flash your bios.

It doesn´t beep when i have the cpu in!!!! I dont have any friends with pcs so im gonna have to go to my local pc store and get it updated since hardware in sweden is stupidly expensive the cheapest celeron availble is basically 50 usd
