Ok I ordered this comp today here's the specs:

Asus z97-K

I5 4690k

Nzxt 340

Seasonic m12ii 620wat

corsair 8gb ram

G1 gtx 970

Wd 1TB

crucial bx100 250gb

I still can change something If it's necessary

I'm not planing on oc now, maybe in the future when the cpu will be older.

overall it costed 1300$

What do you think?

How is your 8GB of RAM allocated? Is it 4GBx2 sticks or 8GBx1 stick?

1x8 why?

I was asking because if it was 4x2, that would reduce the ability to add more RAM in the future.

 

If you populated each slot with 4GB, that would give a maximum of 16GB. If you populated each slot with 8GB, that would give you 32GB.

Just that having 2x4 makes it faster and stuff like that.

No issue though maybe the PSU but its from a good company so it should be fine.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

That wasn't my logic. The bandwidth differences are not going to be noticeable.

is this board ok for oc?

It should be fine for a decent OC. Yes, the CPU is fine.
