Changing motherboard with same model

Go to solution Solved by mgsstar,

If you haven't changed any bios settings, it would be fine. But your RAID 1 configuration may not work. In RAID 1, if one of the drive fails, you can access it on the second drive. So you could just recreate the array. But backup your data before doing this to avoid the loss of data.

I heard that by changing the motherboard you can run into some issue, especially if you are changing the motherboard. Would this also be true if I changed it with the same model? Also, the machine currently has a raid 1 configuration, would this translate in additional problems? The system will be formatted pretty soon for installing windows server 2012 so it's not that big deal, I was wondering if I can change the motherboard already or if I will have to do so the moment of the wipe (I would prefer the first case if possible, otherwise I wouldn't be asking).

I apologize for my English.
