Whenever I need a new chair it seems like one charity shop will always have a decent desk chair on sale.

I hate this goddamn chair. Ass hurts after like 20 minutes. Padding wears out overtime.

I have a bungee cord office chair, given to me free 6 years ago, it's comfortable and great for me, but others have disagreed.  You just gotta go sit in some yourself.

 

 

No idea what region you're in, but Staples, BJs, Office Depot, or even Goodwill & other donation stores all usually have ones you can sit in. Also no shame in craigslisting and trying it out first, long as you make it known that you aren't buying it for sure.
