A 3970x with a gtx titan cant max the game at 2560x1600. Wonder how long before we get 60fps on crysis 3 on 4k. I guess your system should be fine with crysis 3 if you mess around with teh AA settings as thats  the make or break area. btw you dont have to add your name after what you say as you profile is to the left.

i do =) and yeha im not running completely maxed out but high enough =D

this guy is at 2560x1440...and he apparently gets 30-60fps...at 1080 i would be expecting 60+non stop......maybe in intense scenes it drops to 45-50 but everywhere else 60....atleast

Crysis 1, not 3 in the video. It is still not really possible to do that in crysis 3 at 2560*1440 tho. My roomate has a 680 overclocked a bit and a 3770k at 4.7ghz, and he can't max it, more like high with comfortable FPS. So I am not sure how you can be getting solid FPS with a 7950, but enjoy it.

Bad news, Anubikai. I installed the new driver but the problem still continues. I've only tried out Crysis, but I don't think it will be any different with Skyrim.

Have you tried setting it to Wumbo?

It might actually be the modern drivers. Try rolling them back a little.

Can i know, what is the GPU usage u getting on both games? You can use MSI Afterburner OSD to check.

For some reason OSD doesn't show on Crysis, so I checked Afterburner and the core clock and memory clock are at 1050 and 1500, respectively (I OC'd my card).

I have not installed Skyrim yet so I can't say anything about that one.

What is the most stable HD 7950 driver out there? Noting that these are the only games that I have issues with it might be a driver problem.

Damn, this is pissing me off because I know my card can pulverize these games. Searching around on the interwebz doesn't help much either.

try your card in a different pci slot....if your running t in the top one then put it in the one below......if your running it in the bottom one the put it in the top one.....

the top pcie slot is 16x so you should really be using that for the card......if you get better performance in the bottom slot then that means your top cpi slot is likely broken...

I'm using the 16x slot. I'm gonna change it to the other and let you know.

Finally, I found the solution (for Crysis at least)! Turns out this game isn't DX11-friendly, so I added dx9 at the end of the Target line of the Crysis shortcut and it worked like a charm. The bad thing is that I found this out when I was at the final boss.

The only downside is that I can't set the settings to very high, but the difference is barely noticeable.

Very strange indeed. Maybe your monitor is struggling with the hurtz. Check your cards temps and cpu temps when ur playing these games. I play bf3 skyrim and crysis as well and our cards arnt much different ( 7970) try going to default clocks and see how they run then. If thats not it id say the problem is either temps or a faulty card also 7950 can easily handle dx 11 stuff.
