What was the problem?

power cord?

Actually it was just my stupid dumass I had the computer on while I changed the hdmi port all I had to do was press the reset button.

Hi I just built a new computer. I have a MSI Z87-G45 MoBo and a GTX 780. However, when I install the card I don't get a video output. I currently don't have any drivers for the card because when I plug in the card it has no video output. And when I try to install without the card it doesn't detect the card and wont let me install any driver. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Wait... What... You mean when you have the card in, you've been using the HDMI on the motherboard instead of the graphics card?

All that I can say is take out the 780, boot up, update the BIOS, then reboot with the 780 in.

And you're sure you have all of the necessary motherboard drivers, the Bios is updated, and everything is plugged in.  Oh boy this is hard to troubleshoot.

Try installing the Graphics Card on a buddy's PC, if it works on your mates PC then its probaly the drivers, 50 50 chance its gonna be the drivers, so I do not reccomend BETA builds of drivers, but if its a final resort use a BETA build of the drivers.

Version 1.3

oh poo, looks like that msi live updater did everything and everything is up to date, this must mean it's the graphics card if it boots up without it with a picture, but then no picture with it in, hmm...

Well they should replace it at no charge if its the graphics card. The only thing you should have to pay for is return shipping.

You have some other card that will go in the slot?
