Titles says all. I'll ask him what his max budget is, but right now he's looking at a cheapo one: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-210/specificationsAll he wants to do is play CSGO on PC. He says he did research and this should be enough. He has no interest in other games. He's a computer noob, and think he's using a basic prebuilt desktop. I'm working on getting the specs from him as we speak, but that is harder than it sounds when dealing with people with 0 computer knowledge. Since it's prebuilt PC, finding out the PSU/MOBO and stuff like that will be a bit more tricky.

What other cards could we consider? He didn't specify a budget but all he wants to do is play CSGO, that's it. Maybe even less resolution than 1080p.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]

No. I suggest either an R7 260x or an R9 270. When overclocked, the R9 270 can hit 144+ fps minimum on CS:GO provided you don't do any antialiasing. Anything less than an R7 260x would not be worth it, as you really want a high framerate in CS:GO, especially if you've got a 144hz monitor like I do.

If he has a prebuilt, you have to find out what the PSU is as he may be completely boned and unable to add a dedicated GPU capable of playing CS:GO due to power limitations.

Just get a 960 and call it good, it will be more than enough and play other games when you feel like branching out.
