External Drive help

Would the speed be about the same as an internal drive using sata. Will be using usb 3.0 for this external drive. Also would I be able to downlaod steam on it and and run csgo

It's basically an internal hard drive with adaptors connected to transfer data with USB instead of SATA and power through an external power supply.

Hey Aytex,

USB3.0 supports speeds up to 350MB/s while regular drives work with about 150MB/s (give or take) so it should work pretty much like a normal drive. Some programs and games treat external drives differently and you won't be able to do some of the things on the external drive but rather only on the internal one, but other than that - you should be fine with the speed.

And yes, you should be able to run games from it.
