bios not working

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

okay :) ill do that later if i dont get it to Work :) first ill try it where i take some of the ram out and my mobo got something called: @BIOS     where you dont need to go in to bios to update it (its a driver, looking up how it Works right now)

@BIOS is windows utility for updating BIOS. Kinda like Q-Flash. Download BIOS update file from support site first rather than use built-in downloader. For me that has worked better.

it takes like 1min to get past the bios screen on every startup and if i click anything then when it is done with the bios the srceen gos to Black (and that is it) aand i have to push the power butten to turn off my pc

i have goting told that i just to update my bios by a friend

but i wanted to ask where do i do it?

is there anything to Watch out for when i do it?

and so on :)

thanks for any help and sorry for the spelling

edit xD name of the mobo: MB1155 Gigabyte GA-Z77DS3H

Drivers have nothing to do with the BIOS. Try clearing the CMOS by either pulling the battery or using the clear CMOS jumper/button.

Download the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Unzip it to a flash drive. Insert flash drive.

Reboot.

Spam Delete key immediately. Enter BIOS. Use the update utility directly in the BIOS to load the new update from the flash drive.

If you're having issues with stability within the BIOS itself then you could have a separate hardware issue. If your CPU is not oc'd then its likely a RAM issue. Do not attempt to flash the BIOS if your system is prone to crashing. Solve that problem first.

The best way to flash is from in the BIOS. You can do it from windows but its too risky. If it freezes or reboots in the middle it can brick your board.

Pull your ram one at a time and see if you can get in the BIOS. Start there and work your way through.

Try installing all of the drivers. Also what is the specs of the rest of your computer?

Why don't people use their heads.... Drivers are for OS, BIOS works before they even load.

@kennethfage, if the board has dual BIOS, try using secondary one.

i dont know how to make it start up in the other bios xD and i forgot it was there xD

Read your manual. It'll be a switch or jumper on the board

cant the other one only Work as a back up and it will only come out when the first one need to be reintelled ( it will do this automatik)

Depends on the board. Its usually not an automatic kind of thing, at least I've certainly never seen one. They've always been a switch or jumper you have to manually toggle.

As this seems to be the case, maybe you should contact to Gigabytes support. They have been very helpful to me in past. There's something clearly wrong with BIOS and if you can't get it to boot with secondary BIOS, there's little you can do.
