Real quick power supply question.

Hi there everyone. I was wondering if my build has an estimated 458 watts. Will a 550 fully modular 80+gold psu be enough for the build.

It would be enough but would be impracticle with very little room for expansion

Close shave but should be enough, why not do 650W for stretches

yeah it will be enough but i would go higher to have room for expansion and overclock. maybe 650W+

I don't plan on overclocking, but I'm guessing it'll be smart with a higher psu for future proofing right?

 

I don't think so, PC components are taking less and less power consumption each generation, but it's great to have a 650w power supply in case you would go with AMD all-the-way if they don't fix that power consumption on their CPUs and GPUs.
