SSD or better GPU?
I plan on buying an $800 gaming build with a GTX 960 and a 250GB Crucial BX100 SSD. But I also saw another $800 build that did not have an SSD, and used that extra $100 dollars to upgrade to a GTX 970. This has made me reconsider, so should I kill the SSD and upgrade? I know I won't be playing any massively graphic-y games, probably just CSGO, minecraft
, League and other non-complex games, but the thought of not having to worry about any game not being able to run on my PC with that GTX 970, just in case I do try higher res games, is just too persuading. I don't know for sure that I won't play any super graphic intense games because I am new to the PC gaming community. Let me know if I should cut the SSD or not, and please let me know your reasons why, as I love learning new things about PC's. I've never built one but I've been researching a lot, and I have to say, I feel like I can hang.
This is my first post so any feedback would be great! And this is my build just in case you need to know more.
That right there just answered your own question, get the GTX 960 with the SSD. Considering that Mechanical HDD's are the biggest bottleneck in any computer nowadays. a GTX 960 will blow all of those games out of the water. a GTX 970 is a waste of money if those are the games you will be mostly playing. Don't spend money on something you don't need. The SSD will benefit you way more than a 970.
