X58 overheating problems

so i have an old x58 mobo that's chipset overheats with its i7 920 is there a way to remove the chipset heatsink and make it cooler?

tried dosnt help just a tad bit cooler

i dont think so, you migght wanna look into addint a fon on top of th heatsink, like this one:

Yes. Remove the thermal pad and replace it with some quality thermal paste. If needed after that you can mount a fan on or near the heatsink to help.
