Deciphering the Define series

So i'm getting a new case and I think the define series is good but I notcied the Define XL R2 is only $20AUD more than the R5 which I wander why anyone who isn't space restricted wouldnt get it? I'm sure theres  more inconsistencies (Maybe you have some to share) but it doesn't make sence, why would YOU get an R5 or an XL R2?

If i'd ever need to transport it, i'd rather have the smaller case if i dont need it any bigger.
