There is a separate computer connected to the printer and scanner with private computers for every member of the house. For the past few days, I have been getting a strange problem. Whenever I plug in a usb drive and print anything.. all my data is kept within an inaccessible shortcut which is the same name as the drive itself. The drive is still full but the data is in a shortcut to the drive. Thankfully there was no important data, but can somebody please help me out. Is it a virus, malware? Can it risk my data?

Also, when I checked the properties of the file, target said "%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe \~$cgstvbvjcnmspockecvuhrq.bak,ksbjarviudplyyaq"

Help!

I don't understand the situation. So you go to print a file and a shortcut to the file appears on another computer?!?!?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
