Liquidcooled gpu overclocking tips

Hello,

i have a liquid cooled 290x lightning and i would like to get the best out of it.

msi afterburner has a +200mV overvolting limit. Is there a way to unlock it?

 

if you have a guide or some tips for liquidcooled gpu extreme overlocking please share.

im pretty sure you need to download a custom bios "this may void your warranty"

There are many softmods you can do to unlock any limitations on the voltages/ clocks in msi afterburner, and people usually do them along with bios modifications, so they can use the extra flexibility in afterburner.

 

Personally i have tried to do these mods, but for some reason msi afterburner does not change my voltages at all, and i have to use evga precision x to get the most out of the card.
