so im a youtuber and i make gaming commentaries. i want to live stream and the only way to do it is through Google hangouts(on Google plus) when i try to link my YouTube account it says it successfully linked but it really doesn't. so i try to just upgrade my account to Google plus but i don't want to do that(i cant) because on the create name and gender menu it says that its going to use the Google plus name on all services (YouTube too) but i don't wanna change my channel name to my real name. can someone help me

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

I've seen channels that have live stream segments at times, I don't think you should be using Hangouts for that.

i got it figured out but it requires you to use google plus(hangouts) because it outputs through hangouts to youtube so it looks something like this.

 

capture card(for capturing the video) Xplit (for outputting as a camera for PC. but my capture card does it normally) Google hangouts (to use hangouts as a way to livestream to youtube because there is no other way)

Nice, how did you get it to work with Hangouts?

press upload button on youtube(if you have G+) if you don't go to settings under the email setting you will find advanced settings. then link google plus with your youtube from there(it will completely change the way youtube works so just be carful about the info you put into G+) now since ou have google plus linked press upload and click broadcast it will send you to hangouts from there it can etect if you have a capture card as your camera like mine does. then you can broadcast to youtube. and I recommend hat you get a avermedia game broadcaster HD as it is awesome that it can record 1080 and all that. it also has a livestream feature you can click on that it will ask you to set it all up and it livestreams DIRECTLY to (twitch , ustream or the other 6 major streaming sites. or you can put in a custom url to stream there but I haven't tried that.) I also use It as a way to soundwhore on black ops 2 because you can practically play through your computer with the HDMI and component in. wow this is turning realling long. one more thing if you have a ps3 get this thing- http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY-splitter-swither-XBOX360-Blu-ray/dp/B003UYOEMI/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1374183537&sr=8-12&keywords=hdmi+splitter as it bypasses the HDCP from the ps3 you can try another one but this is the one I use and can actually tell you it works. check out my youtube channel xXTocsinXx
