I really wouldn't go for a GTX 960. At least a 970.

im sure the 960 would be fine then, its just the 970 will do better with more modern games.  other than that it all seems fine.

well, if you're not going to benefit at all from 960 to 970, pretty sure you don't need to OC you CPU lol. (Assuming this is a Gaming build.)

might as well save some bucks.

so according to Google, 1000 euros is the same as 1354 dollars Canadian.  I built a quick pcpartpicker build and i was able to get an i7 and a GTX 970 on the list.  I may have gotten confused so if i did something wrong, sorry. but here is the build.  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/M3TFhM

If your not over clocking, don't get the 4670k. Get something like an i5-4460 its a very good bang for the buck CPU.

Yes. But one would get even better editing performance at the same cost differential going with a Xeon E3 cpu.

i dont have any know or experience with the "xeon e3" but i do know the i7's are the best CPU's on the market.  if the xeon is better for editing then it is, but i can take a good guess and say they are not as good with gaming.  remember, im just guessing, but i dont think the xeon will do any better than the i7.  if its a bit better for editing, and you are mainly editing, then get it.  but overall, i would say get the i7...
