new gmail layout

I'm not sure what google was thinking when they came up with this folders thing.

 

When I first saw it I was like WTF?!? So went straight to the settings to see if I could disable it, which you can thank god!

 

If I want my emails to be organised into different folders, I'll do it myself thank you very much google!

I really dislike the whole folders thing. I would much rather have my inbox as one inbox where ALL my emails go to. I don't want to have to try to work out what folder it will go into - legitimately, it took me 5 minutes trying to figure out where my Steam purchase receipt went - i sprawled through pages thinking it somehow got pushed further back...then i realised there were these "new folders"...

exactly. i spent hours even days on trying to find my verification code for steam. only to find it in the social section.  <_<

its just annoying having to click on loads of different tabs. its much better just scrolling down.

Am I the only one who opt'd out of this?

 

My friend showed my it during the beta; I said "meh" and changed it back. This update wasn't forced on me.

Not really - they're not trying to part us with our money unnecessarily.. It's a change, everyone hates change. I dislike it but I'm sure within a couple weeks I'll be content with it..

i dont like the bige coloured letter on every email in my inbox, however, i have recieved a google maps update on my s3, none of my m8's withg the s3 have had any maps update. but i hate it. it was good as it was... hwy do they have to mess with things

I don't mind the tabs. I would like however for you to be able to make your own tabs and assign different emails to different tabs. instead of auto-organizing it for you.
