The G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

Will this be an issue with this build? (below) I have never experienced this sort of issue before.

Why do you want 2400Mhz memory? You wont gain much after 1600Mhz.

I would recommend running at 1.5 volts, It is safer.

I din't even realize that it was 2400 until I say that note. The prices are basically equal for some reason.

Changed it to this instead (http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/46PvFT), still exceeds the voltage recommendations though

I would recommend these sticks, They are rated at 1.5 volts.

I think you are overdoing the blue a bit if both the sockets for the RAM and the RAM is blue.

But it comes down to personal preference.

The i7-4790k and i5-4690k has about the same Gaming performance.

The only time you would gain from having a i7 over a i5 is when you are doing something that is heavily threaded suck as Rendering, Server hosting and Heavy Multitasking.

Heavy Multitasking, That's me right there.

Managed to maintain the blue, I am a aesthetics enthusiast. I would've gone with the MSI Z97S SLi Krait Editon but the PC mate was $40 less which let me get the 4790K. So I just naturally found some blue ram to go with it. White and Blue will look good.

the voltage of the ram doesn't matter at all. i'll be fine up to 1.7v. also with it only being $1 more than 1600mhz you might as well go for it :)
