Graphics Issue

Go to solution Solved by ADZ_123_!"£,

He tested with another monitor and yet again the PC froze. :/

Has he tried doing an os reinstall. But before you do that then I would try seeing if the same problem when running of Intel integrated graphics.

Hi there,

I'm writing for a friend since he's PC is fucked up, yet we don't know what's going on, that's why we need help.

So yesterday his PC start frozzing all the time, he turned his PC on and 2 or 3 minutes after the PC freeze and didn't allow him to do anything. He tried to do a system restore but the PC went black screen and he had to turned it off cause he could do anything with it. Today the PC actually turned on no problem and was running fine for about 50 mins, passed that 50 mins the PC froze and went like this:

We don't know what's going on but we suspect that it's something related with the graphic card. His PC is kinda old but he brought this new graphic card like 3 months ago. We're looking forward to know what's going on so we can go to the store and replace the faulty part.

Thanks in advance !

(Sorry for any derp English)

We already tried to reseating but we're going to try to re-install the driver, thanks.

What os is? And is there a way to see if it's just the monitor playing up?

He uses Windows 7, and yes there is, I'll tell him to try another monitor and I'll give an answer as soon as I can.

Ok cause I reckon it's the monitor causing the problem for you.

So we tried to re-install drivers but the PC froze while they were unistalling so we're not able to do that.

Fun thing, my friend said that if he runs with SAFE MODE the PC runs fine.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried a CMOS clear and reset, curious report in the picture sent, this is my only reason for suggesting this.

No, we will thanks.

If it runs fine in safe mode it is definitely the drivers! Try everything that you can to nuke them completely and then reinstall.

THATS PROBABLY A CORRUPTION SOMEWHERE IN SYSTEM32 SO HE SHOULD RUN A DISK DEFRAGMENTER WHILE IN SAFE MODE

Stop. You're everywhere.

All caps posting is against the CoC, If i see you do it one more time i'm reporting all of your all caps posts. Got it?

OP, It's drivers. This is good news. Uninstall all drivers from safe mode, reboot and install the basic drivers (Ethernet, video, sound.). If it stays running the whole time, re install all your other drivers (chipsets, other pcie cards, etc.), and also make sure you remove any and all usb devices (save for your Keyboard and mouse).

Hi again guys,

Bad new, we tried to re-install windows but mid process the PC restarts and starts all over.

Any ideias?

Why did you reinstall windows? It was a driver issue, you could have easily deleted the drivers while in safe mode, and re-install them.

And I'm not sure what to do about your windows installation restart problem

We weren't able to re-install the driver, the PC won't allow him to uninstall the driver while in safe mode, not sure why.

What you could have done, was taking the gpu out, and using the onboard graphics to uninstall the drivers. (im not sure if you have to remove the gpu, but when my gpu is inserted I cant use my dvi connection on the mobo)
