Hi

Im planning to build a new pc and will it work or not
i heard a lot of great things in this forum (im new)

here's my build :
Intel Pentium G3258 3.2Ghz Cache 3MB [box] Socket LGA 1150
ASUS Z97-K

WDC 1TB SATA3 64MB - Caviar Black

Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR3 PC15000 8GB
Asus Geforce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC 4GB DDR5 STRIX

Corsair RM Series 650W Full Modular

Asus VX229H

Asus DVD RW 24X

Roccat Tyon White/Black

Corsair Vengeance K70 Keyboard (Cherry MX Blue Switch, Red Backlight)

Sennheiser Urbanite i Nation

in my place most of these parts are 2x expensive than us or some places

the total is like $2000 for US$ or Rp 22.000.000,00,-

so.... will it work or not? if works.... will it bottleneck?

pardon if my english is terrible

You will get better performance with a 280x combo and mid range i5.

The g32 should only be used in extreme budget scenarios.

the problem with getting i5s is its 300$ at my place and 280x is the same as a 970

That makes things difficult. I'd really suggest then picking up a cheapo membrane keyboard and a better cpu, perhaps an i3 4160 or so, and just making so with that keyboard until you can afford a nicer keyboard.

it will definitely bottleneck in games that use more than 2 cores, which is almost every new game passed 2014. only get the pentium if you are using it as a stepping stone till you can upgrade

well im planning to upgrade it later to 4690k so....

alright that i3 you suggested is actually not that much more than that pentium.. i might go for that

Keep in mind it will still bottleneck, but not nearly as much as the g3258. It at least can handle doing more than one thing at a time a little better.

I agree the hyper threading on the i3 would definitely help

well... atleast can it run bf4 60fps+?

For sure, without a doubt! It can handle gaming just fine, it will just start to fall behind when multitasking to crap and back.

go AMD 8320, and asrock 970pro 3 instead of pentium. will give you WAY better performance for the same price. the pentium will not handle gaming very well. Alot of games need more then 2 cores.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?
