I have an MSI Z97 GAMING 7, I may just buy an m.2 ssd. I am looking at the:

Transcend MTS800 64GB M.2-2280

Would this fit in my motherboard?

Any thoughts on the ssd itself?

@FruitBasketSilexThe  SSD will fit. The read speeds on the ssd are good 520mbps, but the write is only 80mbps. I'm pretty sure there are better m.2 ssds with much better write speeds.

Compatible yes, can't speak on the quality.

Edit

Corect me if im wrong but dosent M.2 use 4 PCI lanes so running it on a Z97 board would take out 4 lanes making your availiable lanes drop to 12 making SLI not an option.

Can you think of one that's 45$ or less?
