Is this build alright for intensive web browsing?

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Drahsid/saved/q96j4D

you could easily drop the GPU and use the onboard one without an issue saving $60!!

Not bad, I would add more RAM if your browsing is really intense(Like how I use 25GB on average). 12GB should be fine though.

8320 would be a better fit, and no motherboard? For browsing the i3 in the OP will be fine though.

I use an old dell with 8gb of ram, a core 2 duo e4500, and no graphics card as an HTPC for browsing web and streaming 1080p video. It handles it like a champ. You can get a good web browsing PC for very little money.

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

Intensive web browsing? You mean... EXTREME GOOGLE, or like lots of tabs?

So what you want is an i3, iGPU and 16GB RAM.

8gb of ram should be enough also

I'm assuming he wants hundreds of tabs open constantly. How else would it be "intensive"?

There ye go.

The A10 will also do good for basic gaming, streaming media, and is a lot cheaper than a dedicated GPU.

16gbs of RAM, cuz browsers eat that shit up. Oh yea and a better SSD, and a quiet case. ^_^

... please just stop replying.. its apparent you're making things up on the spot.. a $200 computer is adequate for browsing... even a raspberry pi is capable of half decent web browsing.you certainly dont need an 8 core cpu..  even a dual core is over kill in most respects.. hell the pc in my shed is running a 4ghz pentium 4 single core cpu and 1gb ram.. its fine for browsing the web and using youtube.

OP if you're dead set on the ram front just dont use chrome as its an extreme ram hog. firefox does a slightly better job. Im a safari fan for browsing, mainly as i use my macbook for all things internet related. its the least power hungry and the nicest to components lol
