r9 270x issue please help

CPU: FX-6300(3.5ghz) Ram:4gb of balistix sport(one stick) PSU:600W Thermaltake GPU: Visiontek R9 270x

I have no issues when im actually doing anything but when i leave the computer idle the video feed just stops and have to restart the pc to recover it. I have the power options set to never sleep and never shut off the display

yes the latest driver is installed

I had the same issue before, and reinstalling Windows fixed it. This may not be the problem for you so obviously before you go formatting your drive and reinstalling Windows, try other options to attempt a fix first.

Was it doing this before you installed them? Might be a bad install.

i can seccond this post. Have an r9 290 and it would do the same thing. It would freeze after awhile just sitting at idle. I reinstalled windows and now everything is perfect. Reinstalling windows is a pain in the ass, yes. But it is worth a shot
