Any thoughts are welcome!

Better go with FX8360 or the best option i5 because Fx3450 will bottleneck your GPU by so much;

@Isomania

1: Don't buy that CPU. FX are not for gaming, and the FX 4350 is just awful and there is zero reason to buy that CPU. Although on paper the specs look good it's a terrible CPU

2: I have never in my life heard of "powercolor"

3: I have the CM storm keyboard/mouse and I absolutely love them! You won't be disappointed, my Dad who has used a mechanical keyboard his whole life actually asked me what switches this keyboard has. He couldn't tell it was a membrane keyboard

The FX line of CPU's only strength was inexpensive core count. Which only benefits non-gaming tasks and professional workloads. The IPC (instructions per cycle, basically how strong each GHz is on the CPU) on the FX-4350 is very bad, since 4 cores is all you need for gaming you need STRONG cores. The FX CPUs were for a different workload, they have many weaker cores. If your CPU can't keep up with the game, you will lag even though your graphics card could keep up fine.

Look into what other people suggested, getting a locked i5 would be great! The R9 280 will also be enough for mostly anything on very high/ultra settings. If you get a 4350 with a R9 290 it will be bottlenecked. (You won't get the full performance out of the graphics card)

I have an FX-6300 and this is a post explaining my experience owning this processor: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/351398-amd-fx-6-month-conclusion/#entry4777673

EDIT: instead of the fx 4350 sshould i go with the i3-4350?

The i3-4350 will also bottleneck an R9 290 in many cases. You need to invest more in your CPU to get your full graphics card utilization
