Crysis 2 crash help

Hey,

I recently bought crysis 2 on origin in this bundle thing with crysis 3 but i cant get it to stop crashing. Everytime I start to play it works for a little bit then it suddenly just freezes, everything goes black then either my computer restarts, I have to restart my computer, or it goes back to the desktop. I dont know how to fix this and I would be really be thankful if you could help me.

 

computer specs if needed

CPU: i7-5820k

Motherboard: ASUS X99-Pro

Video Card: Windforce gtx 980

PSU: XTR Series 750W 80+ gold

RAM: 16 gigs of vengeance lpx

yes so far, though saints row 4 was crashing though it seems to have stopped.

Could try re installing the graphics driver? That happened to me recently
