Do you guys think there are any disadvantages in buying a Gygabyte GTX 970 mini-ITX than the full sized one? I know it will get a bit hotter but the maxwell arquitechture enables good temperatures anyway, right?

 

Depends on what you need if you can get the normal size get that one, but if you're getting small form factor PC then Mini-ITX size doesn't hurt.

I doubt there would be any issue with heat. Most of these third-party air coolers are seriously overbuilt for such efficient cards, anyway. It probably matters a lot more that your case and fan configuration allows for a lot of cool airflow.

Reduced cooling, less room for various components (power management and the like) which also compounds the heat issue (more heat in smaller area with a smaller cooler)

 

If you can fit a normal one in.. do so.

I wonder if a Kraken G10 will fit on a mITX card. Technically the mounting holes should be the same, but VRM cooling might be tricky.
