SSD Question

It'll be fine.

Do SSDs run hot? I don't have a place to mount mine in my case. So I was just wondering if it was bad to keep it hanging for the time being.

M.2 SSDs can run hot, SATA and HHHL PCIe SSDs generally run cool.

The Intel 750 gets pretty warm under heavy load.

Tom's Hardware seems to disagree.

the 750's controller is the coolest NVMe-capable processor we've tested to date. With moderate airflow in your system, the drive remains cool, even under heavy loads.

I have my 750 installed between two 980s. With the 750 at full load and my GPUs idling it got to 53°C. With the GPUs at load too the 750 got up to 72°C

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that might have more to do with the 980s than the 750.

The 72°C result sure but the 980s at idle are only drawing 8-9W each.
