Lightweight AV?

My brother currently has AVG free on his old HP pavillion laptop which I feel slows down the system quite a bit. Im not into AVs anymore so much and I personally use MSE (I used kaspersky with trial reset but then it got trickier... :D). I need something that doesn't use the HDD so much and would make the system a bit more responsive than with AVG...

 

EDIT: My brother doesn't use his laptop daily since he got a tablet... He usually fills some documents, e-mails and downloads some movies or so... Used to be computer geek tho.

Bitdefender is nice and lightweight. It also protects against bad websites and will block them from opening.

Have used bitdefender before but didn't like it, I guess it was the lack of the options

Its either MSE or avast now

 

Malwarebytes but people will say that it doesn't count as AV.

 

 

Malwarebytes now have Real-Time Scan right? that should must count as an AV IMO.

Its has Real-time protection now but you must buy it to get it.
