DAC advice

If some of you may remember, I picked up an Amptastic Mini-1 amplifier and a pair of Q Acoustics 2010i speakers. This little combo has been so amazing, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an ideal 2.0 speaker setup.

However, I'm now looking to improve this even further, hopefully with an external DAC. Because, I'll admit, the on-board audio isn't really good enough (even with some "Mastered for iTunes" Endless Forms Most Beautiful by Nightwish). So I'm wondering what I should look for in a DAC.

Like which input type is best (optical or USB)?

This one has no USB inputs. But would something like it be any good?

FiiO E10k and a RCA to 3.5mm cable. Also, SSL's suggestion is also a good choice.

 

Just saw it only banana plugs connection.
