3470 - H100i Idle temps too high?

Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a H100i with Noctua NF-F12 exhausting through the radiator. The fans have the LNA on them. Using Arctic Silver compound with my 3470, my idle temps are around (39-41) with an overclock of 3.8GHz. Additionally I am using the MSI z77 M-Power board, if that helps!

I read with the stock cooler it is 40°-45° so yours are a little high as I would have expected more from a water cooler...

Is the heat-sink attached correctly to the CPU?

 

That's usually the most common problem and re-seating the heat-sink correctly and securely makes your temps lower most of the time.

 

I am getting around 29 to 34 degrees celsius and my CPU is a 3570k and is overclocked to 4.4ghz. Your CPU should be way cooler than that.

With my stock cooler I used to get around 47-48 idle so not much of an improvement from my investment! :P

It is not too high, and i think you might have hot room.

And how about load temps?

My load temps around around 55-60 so they are not very bad, it's a little confusing in honesty.

I tightened it all correctly and cleaned the base of the H100i with arctic silver compound remover and surface purifier. If i cant find a solution to the problem I will be re installing the heatsink.

If your temps are like that and his should be better I would re seat the processor as well

Is your room temps high?

Room temps are around 25 as we're having quite nice weather for once in England.

You can set it the rpm divider but it doesnt do any thing

check your thermal paste -   if nothing changed send your H100i back again to Corsair they are nice they will replace it for you :)
