CSS and IE7 borders

Im trying to make a border only 1px thin so in >IE8 or chrome or firefox I'm using  "border-bottom:1px;"
Does anyone know an alternative for IE7.

I would suggest drop IE7 completely, or implement selectivizr or modernizr to make IE cooperate. It's a lot of work to make it compatible manually if you have lots of CSS. There is a way of selective CSS but I can't recall it right now.
